In one year, a series of conversations changed the course of my life. Leaving my home place of northwestern California for the first time, I moved to rural Texas to care for my grandaddy, living with dementia. Then I moved to Utila, Honduras, where I worked on an organic fruit farm in the jungle and collaborated with artists from across Latin America to create a community space for art and education. This is a small selection of portraits and landscapes from each place.
