Commissions, in the form of sign painting, block prints for logos, paintings for public events, and sculptural installations, often are the meeting point of my social practice and my studio work.

Bridge Arts and Storage is a hybridized business in Richmond, Ca that has transformed a storage facility into a multifaceted place. They feature co-working spaces, shared metal and wood shops, a ghost kitchen, private art studios and more. They commissioned me to build a 4 x 65 foot sculptural fence, which reads in American Sign Language: art, and #only at bridge. Click on image to see all the photos.

This painting was commissioned by The Cowtown Serenaders, a Humboldt County based puppet troupe created by Tayloranne Finch and Daniel Nickerson, for their project "Tales From Cowtown." Prints of the painting served as takeaways for all audience members, with relevant information on the back.

The show invited rural audiences across four northern California counties to creatively engage with the issues facing their communities: a fragile environment, an unsure economic future, and limited access to social support systems. Rural resilience was the unifying theme, encouraging audiences to take an active role in recovery efforts, and in the restoration of balance to the environment.
